New Challenges | #PeteRunsaMarathon

Hi lovelies, hope you're well and sorry it's been so long!

I've been having a little bit of down time with my running over the past six weeks and letting my body recover from the three half marathons and one marathon I took on in the first half of the year. However, I 'm back to it now and have some very exciting things planned for the rest of the year and 2016!

The thing I wanted to share with you today is a new challenge I'm currently taking on- coaching someone else!

My boyfriend Pete has been a long time supporter of my running, travelling up and down the country and even to Paris to cheer me on through my races. Pete has never been a runner, however in Paris this year he watched an incredible lady aged 60+ complete the marathon and it sparked something. I think that the whole atmosphere of Paris that day inspired him and he decided that he wanted to do it himself next year rather than stand behind the barriers. At the time I didn't completely believe it, but even weeks later he was telling people it was going to happen.. and he's signed me up as personal trainer!

Obviously I am not qualified in anything fitness/running/nutrition, but I'm taking steps to try and use my experience to help Pete. The first step is Cheltenham Half Marathon on September 27th (which I will be vlogging!) and we're getting into the swing of training for that. I'll run with Pete at whatever pace he feels he can do the distance in and try to be a top support crew. If that's successful, he'll sign up for the Paris Marathon in the second wave of registrations which open in September.

So, watch this space! I'll be Instagram-ing training updates, so head on over to @marathonharry and comment on this post with your Insta-name here so I can follow you back <3

Let me know if you're running Cheltenham Half or Paris Marathon :)
